The beginning of Kafounis Enterprises is in the early 1950 ‘s, when Aggelos Kafounis with a small personal business begun importing motorcycles and spare parts in Greece directly from the BMW factory in Germany. That meant that for the first time there was a company that could provide to the market everything that was in demand and also promote the BMW brand with validity and respect.

Through the next decade the small company grows and expands in the BMW automobiles spare parts section with success. The company is able to cover all the needs on spare parts that the sales of the legendary BMW 700, 1500 and 2002 that were shinning on the European streets at that era.
During the 1970’s the first participation of the Kafounis name in the Greek Rally Championship takes place with a BMW 1800. Also at that time the BMW Kafounis sales department begins.

In the 1980’s decade , BMW Kafounis invests in new owned facilities centralizing in the same area all the sales departments for BMW cars, motorcycles, accessories and spare parts. That success comes from the ability to have great deals of cooperation with the most famous manufacturers and factories abroad, and also specialized technology for the first time in the Greek auto mobility market.
 
 After the radical renovation of the owned building in the center of Athens and the construction of an independent showroom next to the building, a new prototype facility is made for the standards of that era, while BMW Kafounis owns the leader position as the only independent dealer company that imports and distributes even exclusive the spare parts made from the most famous and reliable European manufacturers.
 
During the 1990’s , KAFOUNIS MOTORSPORT creates a distribution network for tuning parts and specialized spare parts through authorized shops with the KAFOUNIS MOTORSPORT logo. In the company’s facilities a new 9 storage building is added creating a uniformed group of 5 different buildings that accommodates the offices, spare parts distribution, car sales showroom, motorcycle sales showroom, the service department and also the tires shop with independent operation for each department.

The recent continuously growing activity of the Kafounis Enterprises is in the child safety division, choosing with the highest considerations and achieving cooperation with the most reliable companies of the equivalent markets.
